The aim of this study was to compare the difference in vowels as defined by acoustical analysis using seven vowels for three formant frequencies (F1, F2, and F3), formant zone and vowel working space in Vietnamese marriage migrant females in comparison with Korean females and to search for the intrinsic formant frequency and bark scale in Vietnamese marriage migrant females' Korean vowels. The main results of this study are as follow: intrinsic formant frequency produced by Vietnamese marriage migrant females might be differ from Korean females. There were significantly differences in the formant frequencies values between two groups. Vietnamese marriage migrant females exhibited smaller vowel working space areas compared to Korean females. And the former's vowel working space area was significantly correlated with bark values. This study showed that there were acoustic differences in some vowel parameters between Korean and Vietnamese marriage migrant females.
